"The atmosphere was so honest and intimate, we forgot there was anyone else watching."
Chloe & Robert
A Blooming Vision of Balance
Chloe & Robert’s wedding at The Glasshouse Estate in Napa Valley felt like stepping into a blooming midsummer novel — light, floral, and softly intoxicating. The venue, with its modern glass structures and rolling vineyard views, offered the perfect marriage of architectural elegance and nature’s wild poetry.
And that was the heart of the celebration: balance — of structure and softness, elegance and ease, them and each other.
Petals, Veils, and Wild Vines
As a floral designer, Chloe was deeply involved in every petal. Collaborating with Petal & Thorn, she built a ceremony space that felt immersive — with layered garden beds, climbing vines, and arrangements that looked like they had grown naturally into the venue. Her gown, a sheer tulle robe covered in appliqué blossoms, felt like something from the garden itself.
She prepared for the day in a glass-walled conservatory filled with white lilac and gardenia. Barefoot and grounded, she moved slowly, calmly — a florist in her own cathedral of scent and bloom.
A Host with a Winemaker’s Warmth
Robert, a winemaker and natural host, greeted each guest as they arrived. Dressed in a pale stone linen suit with hand-stitched details, he offered elderflower spritzes and warm smiles. The couple opted not to do a first look — a choice that made Chloe’s arrival at the ceremony all the more powerful.
When she appeared between two weeping willows with the sun catching her veil, Robert’s eyes filled instantly.
A Ceremony Grown, Not Built
The ceremony was held under the glass eaves, where light filtered in softly, bouncing off blooms and vintage wooden chairs. The aisle curved through planted flower beds, ending at a circular altar surrounded by delphiniums and foxglove. Guests were handed paper fans from Paper Arcadia, each stamped with a line from the couple’s favorite poem:
“To love is to find beauty in the ordinary.”
The vows were handwritten, spontaneous, and deeply personal. They told stories of rainy vineyard walks, pasta debates, and how every version of home included the other. Laughter spilled through the air, and by the end, so did tears.
A Garden Table Under Fig Trees
The reception, styled by Lune & Linen, unfolded under a canopy of fig trees. Long farmhouse tables held clay chargers, linen napkins dyed with vineyard grapes, and terracotta urns filled with seasonal peonies, clematis, and herbs. It felt both refined and relaxed — effortless and curated.
Dinner was family-style: roasted vegetables from the estate garden, burrata with heirloom tomatoes, lamb slow-cooked with rosemary, and sourdough served with olive oil from Robert’s vines. There was no head table. The couple floated among their guests, hugging, laughing, and living out their dream dinner party.
Dancing, Ice Cream, and Starry Skies
As the sun dipped behind the vineyards, Clementine & Co. captured the golden hour in quiet, dreamy frames. The dance floor, strung with festoon lights, filled with motion. Chloe and Robert danced to a vintage jazz record spinning from a portable turntable — no performance, just presence.
Instead of a cake, a vintage ice cream cart served handmade scoops beneath an old oak tree. The evening gave way to barefoot dancing, impromptu karaoke, and a final toast under the stars — the kind of toast that makes everyone forget they were ever strangers.
A Wedding That Felt Grown
Chloe & Robert’s celebration didn’t feel orchestrated — it felt grown. Like the garden itself had whispered it into being. Lush, intimate, and grounded in joy, it was a wedding that honored their love for each other, for community, and for the beauty of letting things grow just as they are.
Lovingly brought to life by Paper Arcadia, Petal & Thorn, Lune & Linen, and Clementine & Co., it will remain, for many, a wedding that bloomed forever in memory.
